performs consistently as one of the best local BMX-ers.
BMX Bikes are customized vehicles that can range in price
from under one thousand dollars on the low end to several
thousand with alloy parts and special bars, wheels and
handle bars. To put it mildly, BMX riders typically buy the
finest components to help them become the best stunt riders
around. The BMX circuit has similarities to skateboarding.
The riders must find great locations to practice and become
better and they are always going where they must to
challenge themselves and become better.
Contrary to perception, most BMXers have parents who know
their kids love extreme sports and who generally help them
buy parts and bikes to improve their riding and safety. To
watch BMX bicycling, there are a few sanctioned locations
around Orange and Los Angeles County but most bicyclists
(like skateboarders) have to make up their own courses and
tracks. The sport is extreme and fantastic to watch.
The riders earn their flying stripes with hours of trial and
error till they get it right.
Great BMX competitions in Huntington Beach can be seen at US
Open of Surfing and Beach Games as part of the Beach Games.
There is also a King of the Dirt Hill BMX bike competition
at Core Tour, a September event with open sign up and play
offs. Popular in the BMX circuit are the video contests in
which video submissions are accepted and finalists awarded
prizes and entry into video productions.
