Jan's Health Bar

For over a decade Jan's Health Bar on the fifth block of Huntington Beach has served healthy soups, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and fruit drinks to the satisfaction of a steady and loyal audience seeking fresh, natural food products.

The restaurant is located in a row of shops in Townsquare Center, a mixed commercial/residential complex with gated condominiums situated above the row of shops that include a bank, dentist, tanning salon, nail shop, two restaurants, jeweler and and a full service walk-in bank. Jan's Health Bar is a small cafe popular for takeout. The natural wood counters, snack bar and decor highlight the menu wall and food preparation area where sandwiches are made in front of you. Sandwiches and soups contain ample doses of vegetables and fruits, nuts and grains.  While the recipes are quite tasty, they are also fresh and healthy.

For those seeking a break from the ordinary fast food, Jan's Health Bar offers an excellent alternative. For specialty, vegan and healthy dining, other choices along the Main Street downtown shopping district include Bodhi Tree Vegetarian Cafe (next door), and Jamba Juice downtown.

Jan's Health Bar features convenient street parking and coin metered parking in front of the shop. If that parking is taken, you can also park a block away in Plaza Almeria garage.
